GobbleGo
"Savor every bite with our food delivery app, where cravings meet convenience - order, indulge, repeat!”
GobbleGo is a food delivery mobile app created for hypothetical restaurant that provides the customers, the ultimate convenience of doorstep dining and bringing delicious meals straight to their doorstep, hassle-free.
The Problem
For individuals leading fast-paced lives with little time for meal preparation, our food delivery app addresses the challenge of time constraints and offers a convenient solution. As a User Experience Designer the challenge here was to find a unique solution in providing these customers with a diverse range of culinary choices and ensure that they can enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals at their convenience.
The Goal
My goal was to simplify mealtime for busy individuals by offering a user-friendly food delivery app that provides access to GobbleGo restaurant and ensures prompt, hassle-free delivery, making dining convenient and enjoyable.
My Design Process
Understanding the User
I conducted a competitive analysis and interviewed four people who have some experience with ordering food via online platforms, to truly understand the needs, behaviours, and motivations of the users I’m designing for.
My research identified four (4) pain points:
-
Accessibility
-
Complex Navigation
-
Inadequate Visual Feedback
-
Confusing Checkout Process
Creating the Solution
As part of the ideation process, I mapped out a user flow to create a visual representation of the steps a user would take to reach their end goal. This also helped identify all the screens to be included in the design.

Paper Wireframes
With an idea of all the necessary screens, I put pen to paper and sketched several iterations of each screen.
To make the experience fast and stress-free for the users, I prioritised ease of use and a quick ordering process while sketching.

Going Digital
I then proceeded to create a digital version of the screens in Figma.
Usability Testing
My aim in conducting usability testing was to evaluate how real users interact with it. The primary goals were to identify usability issues, gather user feedback, and make data-driven design improvements to create a more user-friendly and effective product that meets user needs and expectations.

“Make it simple. Make it memorable. Make it inviting to look at. Make it fun to read." - Leo Burnett
Usability Study (Round 1)
For the first round of usability studies, I created a low-fidelity prototype.
You can view the usability study report here which was tested with four participants.

Usability Study (Round 2)
For the second round of usability studies, I used a high-fidelity prototype of the design.

(High Fidelity Mockups)
I tested the design at this stage to observe an interaction with the app that most closely resembles a real-life interaction with the final product.
